How to Become a Member

Ready to Join Us?

After visiting a meeting or two as a guest, you might be ready to become an official member. We'd love to have you join our community!

How It Works

1. Reach Out to Our Executive Team

Contact any of our club officers - they'll walk you through the entire onboarding process and answer any questions you have about membership.

Who to Contact:

  • President: Overall club leadership and membership questions
  • VP Membership: Handles new member onboarding and orientation
  • VP Education: Pathways setup and educational planning
  • Secretary: Meeting logistics and club information

2. Complete the Membership Application

You'll fill out the official Toastmasters membership application form. This includes:

  • Personal Information: Name, contact details, and background
  • Club Selection: Confirming Gloucester Speakers as your home club
  • Payment Information: Membership dues (both international and local club fees)
  • Pathways Access: Setting up your online learning account

3. Get Your Application Processed

Our executive team will:

  • Review Your Application: Make sure everything is complete
  • Submit to Toastmasters International: Process your membership officially
  • Set Up Base Camp Access: Get you logged into the Pathways system
  • Schedule Your Orientation: Plan your new member introduction

The whole process typically takes 1-2 weeks from application to full membership activation.

Many employers offer education reimbursement programs that cover Toastmasters membership - ask your HR department!

2. WhatsApp Group Access

  • Group Chat Invitation: You'll be added to our club WhatsApp group
  • When: Shortly after indicating interest in joining
  • Purpose: Ask questions, get help, and stay connected with members
  • Don't hesitate: Use the group chat for any questions you have!

3. Your Learning Journey

  • Mentor Assignment: Get paired with an experienced member
  • Path Selection: Choose your first Pathways learning track
  • Ice Breaker Speech: Schedule your first speech to introduce yourself
